A diverse selection of films from Mexico are part of VLAFF 2016, including the outstanding Opening Night film I Promise You Anarchy. In the International Hits section we are pleased to announce the Vancouver premiere of A Monster with a Thousand Heads (by Rodrigo Plá, director of La Demora (The Delay). Our new section ¡Activismo! presents the Mexican productions Time Suspended and A Day in Ayotzinapa 43. Four Mexican short films are part of the competition section and the Mexican director Juan Manuel Sepúlveda is presenting a Vancouver-made film, The Ballad of Oppenheimer Park.
