Rosa (Paulina García) still lives under her husband’s rules, even though he died six months ago. The deteriorated relationship with her son has distanced her from her only family. When she meets Juan, a divorced man with whom she shares a passion for tango, she begins to rediscover herself and something begins to change. But before she can take a step forward, she is confronted with some uncomfortable truths.

Rosa (Paulina García) aún vive bajo las reglas de su marido, a pesar de que éste falleció seis meses atrás. La deteriorada relación con su hijo la ha distanciado de su única familia. Cuando conoce a Juan, un divorciado con quien comparte la pasión por el tango, empieza a re-descubrirse a sí misma y algo empieza a cambiar. Pero antes de que pueda dar un paso adelante, se ve enfrentada a ciertas verdades incómodas.

LAURA GONZÁLEZ

Laura González (Uruguay) is a writer, director and producer. A Berlinale Talent Alumna (Berlin International Film Festival 2014) and a FilmWorks Programme Alumna – Watershed (UK, 2012). She founded La Uruguaya Films and produced the multi-award winning short-films: The Football and Every Time I Remeber, I Forget, selected at more than 100 festivals worldwide. She develops her Opera Prima Milonga and receives 7 nominations from the ACCU Awards 2023 (FRIPESCI – Uruguay), including Best Film, Best Director, Best Script, Winner/Best Opera Prima, Winner/Best Actress (Paulina García), Best Supporting Actor (César Troncoso), Best Supporting Actress (Laila Reyes Silverberg).
