Call for Musicians
With respect and gratitude, the Vancouver Latin American Film Festival acknowledges that our festival takes place on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Coast Salish Peoples, including the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
VLAFF is now accepting applications from local Latin/e/x artists for live music performances as part of our ¡Así Suena! by-donation concert series, happening September 4–14, 2025 in The Cinematheque’s Courtyard (Downtown Vancouver).
Artists will receive:
$100 honorarium per artist (up to $400 for groups)
Professionally filmed video + photo stills of the performance
A VLAFF Festival Pass
Key Dates:
Application Deadline: March 31, 2024 (midnight)
Audition Invites (if needed): by April 7
Auditions: April 15 (noon–6pm at VLAFF HQ)
Final Selections Announced: by April 30
