Hector, a 14-year-old Cuban-Canadian, spends his last weekend in Montreal before moving to California with his close circle of friends. Hector is deeply attached to the housing cooperative where he grew up and is anxious about leaving his familiar world. This significant journey coincides with a first kiss and the transition from childhood to adolescence.

Giovanni Princigalli

Giovanni Princigalli is an Italian-Canadian filmmaker who studied Political Science at the University of Bari, as well as screenwriting with Umberto Contarello and documentary film with C.A. Pinelli. His acclaimed films have screened at numerous international festivals, including Guangzhou, RIDM, and the African Diaspora Film Festival of New York. He’s also taught Italian cinema and served on prestigious arts juries. His films have been cited in various books on humanities and documentary cinema.
