Catarina is a researcher in quantum physics who recently arrived in the region of Rio Grande do Norte. She works at the International Physics Institute and researches the sound spaces hidden in the variations of light. Submerging herself in her work and life, Catarina is in constant movement. In this flux, past, present and future converge, giving us the dimension of her subjective universe.

Catarina é uma pesquisadora do campo da física quântica recém chegada à região do Rio Grande do Norte. Catarina trabalha no Instituto Internacional de Física e pesquisa os espaços sonoros na imagem. O mergulho em sua pesquisa é, ao mesmo tempo, um mergulho em sua vida. Catarina está em constante movimento. E nesse fluxo, passado,presente e futuro se convergem, nos dando a dimensão de seu universo subjetivo.

Carlos Segundo holds a PhD in Cinema from Unicamp and a Master’s degree in Psychology from the Federal University of Uberlândia. He is a Brazilian director, screenwriter and editor. He directed, among others, the short films Subcutâneo (2018), Balança Brasil (2017) and Não Sangro por Dentro (2016). Fendas is his first feature film.
