Sandra takes Bus 243 through Medellín to work, always forced to stand. Amidst the routine commotion, she focuses on her destination as the camera remains fixated on her, reflecting an inner transformation unfolding. In her debut film, director Yennifer Uribe Alzate captures this transformation with Alba Liliana Agudelo Posada’s poignant performance. For fifteen years, Sandra’s life revolved around her son, but as he grows distant, she embarks on a new journey. Working as a security guard, she navigates through a bustling mall, experiencing newfound connections and moments of attention from colleagues and the driver of Bus 243. This marks the beginning of Sandra’s journey towards self-discovery and reclaiming her sexuality.

“Skin in Spring manages to delicately combine a slight cruelty with a human warmth without naivety. A charming little spring trip which sometimes takes its time but reserves landscapes with rather unexpected reliefs.”
