Your presence at the 7^th Annual Vancouver Latin American Film Festival and 2^nd Annual Master Lighting Workshops/Seminars made it a great success and enabled us to reach our target attendance of over 5000! Thank you so much for your participation and support.

 VLAFF has many plans for 2010. They include monthly screenings at the Pacific Cinematheque of the "Best of VLAFF" series, a 10-day retrospective of Mexican cinema in February, and of course, the 2010 Festival with Colombia as our spotlight country.

Facts about the work we do:

• 90% of the films we screen are Canadian premieres
• 95% of the films we screen will not be shown again in BC
• Each year we screen over 60 shorts, features, and documentaries representing at least 13 different countries
• Each year we host 5-7 Latin-Canadian filmmakers as well as 6-8 international guests who participate in Q&A sessions, panel discussions, and film production seminars
• 90% of our staff is volunteer
