Thirty-something Durval and his mother, Carmita, live at the back of Durval Discos, a record store they own in São Paulo, specializing in vintage vinyl. However, there’s not too much going on at the store these days, as everyone wants CDs. Their mundane life is all of a sudden interrupted when Durval gets the idea that his mother needs more help around the house, and they decide to hire a maid. On her second day of work, Celia brings 5-year-old Kiki along… and from then on, nothing is quite like it used to be. A charming, quirky comedy with unexpected twists and turns and a generous scattering of astute social commentary among the laughs.

Durval e sua mãe Carmita vivem há muitos anos na mesma casa onde funciona a loja Durval Discos, que já foi muito conhecida no passado mas hoje vive uma fase de decadência devido à decisão de Durval em não vender CDs e se manter fiel aos discos de vinil. Para ajudar sua mãe no trabalho de casa Durval decide contratar uma empregada. O baixo salário acaba atraindo Célia, uma estranha candidata que chega junto com Kiki, uma pequena garota. Após alguns dias de trabalho Célia simplesmente desaparece, deixando Kiki e um bilhete avisando que voltaria para buscá-la dentro de 3 dias. Durval e Carmita ficam surpresos com tal atitude, mas acabam cuidando da garota. Até que, ao assistir o telejornal, mãe e filho ficam cientes da realidade em torno de Célia e Kiki.
