Due to his deteriorating dementia, Toussaint, a 60-year-old Haitian native, goes to live with Jazmín, his 30-year-old daughter in Mexico City. Toussaint is a man who wasn’t able to take root in any of the places he lived. He was a distant father and is now a complete stranger to Jazmín. Through this compelled cohabitation, Toussaint will put together the puzzle of his past with his remaining memories and Jazmín will struggle to forgive and move on with her own life.
Co-presented with the Consulate General of Mexico in Vancouver.
