There is no doubt that 2020 has been a difficult and intense year. The VLAFF programmers have made a huge effort to bring together a smaller, yet fascinating lineup of work to celebrate and honour the diverse visions of Latin American, Latin-Canadian, and Indigenous filmmakers.

The whole festival will be presented ONLINE for viewing across Canada. We will also present seven in-person screenings at The Cinematheque of the films in the New Directors Competition (which will also be available online) and a special program of the works of the Latin-Canadian filmmakers Jorge Lozano and Alexandra Gelis, who will be in attendance from Toronto.

Viewing all across Canada available online from August 27 – September 6, with no fixed schedule. Watch films whenever you like!
