JOSE FELIPE VARON is a director, photographer, and musician born in Cali, Colombia. He has worked as a director in production companies such as: Antorcha Films, Contravía, Direktor, Laberinto cine y TV, and Phenomena Fotogramas; a company that he founded in order to develop audiovisual content focused on identity building in the southwest of the country, specializing in documentaries and fictions based on a popular, musical, and traditional culture. He stands out as a versatile director who can work with both many and few resources. He tells everyday stories in innovative ways through a fluid, naturalistic, elegant, and very aesthetic look.
