During the year, VLAFF programming team watch films that are either submitted to the festival or our staff see in other events. The festival competition sections are New Directors & Short Films. Out of competition sections in 2021 are: ¡Activismo!, International Hits, Indigenous Films, Celuloide, ¡Buñuel, Siempre!, Queer Latinx. In December, VLAFF will once again host a Work in Progress Virtual Forum for Indigenous films from across the continent.
